HOLIDAY LOVING

Community Loving held an event in partnership with Carson Child Guidance & Healthy Start this December called Holiday Loving that reached out to houseless families with students attending Caroldale Elementary. We began fundraising and collecting donations near the end of November, with the event only a few weeks away. As the date came closer and closer, our volunteers sorted through donations of clothes, shoes, and food in order to distribute it evenly to the families. One of the most successful parts of the fundraising was our Target Registry, which included items for every single family member of the 10 families we assisted, and all of them were purchased! We also received an abundance of donations of lightly used items to give as gifts to family members depending on their wishlist. Our team worked tirelessly to meet all the needs of these families and gather as many gifts as possible so that each household could enjoy their holidays without having to worry about their necessities being met. In the end, Holiday Loving was a success with each family receiving groceries, water, clothes, blankets, hygiene kits, and personalized items for their holiday wishes.
